On Friday, September 19, 2014, the 2014-2015 Innovative Leaders Speaker Series kicked off with Dr. Margaret (Maggi) Cary, MD, MBA, MPH, physician, leadership coach, and writer, who led the workshop, "How to Engage Your Audience with Story: Leadership 101." Participants learned how to use effective presentation and storytelling skills to induce your audience, constituents, and funders to lean forward, and listen in. Professional Development Workshop Series: 
Essential Skills for the Public Health Workforce 


The Professional Development Workshop Series, Tuesdays from January 21st to April 29th, 2014, was designed to introduce students and public health professionals to specialized skills needed in the public health workplace. These workshops complemented the core curriculum of the School of Public Health and were selected based on regular feedback from public health practitioners, faculty and students. This course was open to all School of Public Health graduate and undergraduate students.
